Magic Revealed

A magic virus jumped hosts from the supernatural to the human population. The existence of magic and magical being was revealed so that a cure could be found.

Now, humans and supernaturals live side by side. But this is a tenuous coexistence. Magic-hating humans live off grid and scavenge for food, medicine, and supplies. The Bureau of Magical Affairs attempts to keep magical businesses in check. Witches rewild cities, forming large swathes of Wilderness.

And lurking in the shadows are the ones responsible for the Reveal.

The Towers loom brightly over a world where the study of magic comes at a great cost.

The War showed just how creative mages can be. Avenal University churned out mage after mage for the war machine. To be a mage requires three things: ability, intention, and a medium. But practicing magic means losing your sanity. And when your mind gives out, that's when the Towers will take you.
