I started writing Moon Dance as I came out of a severe suicidal episode. I had quit my job after a lengthy medical leave and we had decided to move across the country from California to Washington state (yes up and down is still across the country!). For much of the process of writing and rewriting Moon Dance I was processing my own grief, trauma, and mental illness. A year ago, the basics of a story were there, and a glimmer of potential.

It is honestly so surreal to hold the author proof in my hands or to see it on my ereader. This is such a special accomplishment and I am so grateful to be making my debut. So many of you have supported me in this process and I could not have done it without you.
